We worked with Forsyth Family Services (Winston-Salem, NC) on their state of the art project for the new Intergenerational Center. This unique center provides arts and wellness services to seniors and pre-schoolers in the surrounding community.
We were proud to work alongside Forsyth Family Services and Senior Services to design two brand new playgrounds and a shared space for children and seniors to enjoy together.
Approx. Budget 250k
Toddler Playground
The toddler playground features a “Hobart Bay” infant unit with integrated shade as well as a large, engineered, cantilever shade. The entire playground is surfaced with 100% beige PIP rubber surfacing. The light colored rubber and shade structures work together to provide a safe and cool surface for kids who spend a lot of time on their hands and knees.

Preschool Playground
The preschool age playground features an arts park including musical instruments, a reading circle, as well as paint & chalk panels. A trike path loops through the center of the playground with interactive store front panels and traffic signs. Kids will be able to enjoy active play on the “Beaufort” 2-12 year unit complete with an integrated shade and a natural balance course. All non fall zone areas of the playground have been surfaced with artificial turf which maintains a natural look to the playground that requires less maintenance and keeps kids clean!
