At Beaufort-Washington Head Start, we enhanced the functionality of their playground by installing new safety surfacing. The playground, nestled in the woods, provides a lovely shaded area but made grass growth difficult. After rain, the area would become so muddy that the kids couldn’t play outside.

We addressed this by installing 50/50 blue/black PIP rubber in the fall zones of all existing play equipment and artificial turf in the remaining areas. This upgrade improved water drainage and created a cleaner, safer play space for both children and staff. Additionally, it has reduced maintenance costs and brightened up the space!
